Ride with Slow Roll Buffalo Through July

Slow Roll!

Hopefully everyone had a fabulous Independence Day (or Canada Day for our northern neighbors!) and is enjoying the gorgeous weather. With summer in full swing, Slow Roll Buffalo has a great lineup of rides this month, and we hope to have you join us for one, some, or all of them.

Clarence Friday Night Pedal Party

Friday July 7, meet at 6pm, ride 7pm.

Our next pedal party is our debut in Clarence this coming Friday, July 7th, starting at 7pm, as we partner with Discover Main Street for a ride that will showcase first their push for a more bike-friendly Main Street, which features many miles of local businesses such as our host Murphy Brown’s Craft Beer Empourium (9500 Main). Our 12-mile route will take us through neighborhoods and rural landscapes such as the Clarence Nature Center and Town Park along with the bike depot at their farmers’ market, returning to Murphy Brown’s for an afterparty with food trucks Cheesy Chick and House of Munch and music from DJ Milk, join us!

Our Pedal Party is slightly faster than a Slow Roll Monday ride; the ride is self-supported, meaning we will not have a motorcade escort nor support and gear (SAG) crew trailing the ride. The Clarence route includes some modest hills.

Founded in Detroit, Slow Roll is a group bicycle ride that meets every Monday night and has expanded into a global network of community rides. Each week we meet at different venues and take a unique route throughout the city, including all the major and minor neighborhoods that we are so proud of. Slow Roll is for everyone; all ages, all skill levels and every type of bike is welcome. Our slow pace keeps the group safe and gives riders a unique perspective of our great city and its neighborhoods.

Slow Roll Buffalo is presented by Independent Health and a program of GOBike Buffalo. Support from local partners such as Deep Thinka Records, The Good Neighborhood, Bert's Bike's, Kara Kenney For Hair and Rich Products. Schedule, locations, and volunteer opportunities with Slow Roll Buffalo can be found at www.slowrollbuffalo.org. Information on the worldwide Slow Roll movement can be found at www.slowroll.bike.
