DONATIONS NEEDED!
• DONATE CANDY OR FRUIT to the STAFF APPRECIATION BREAKFAST on Thursday, 10/24. Please email president@millspta.org to let us know if you can contribute. Donations can be left in the staff room prior to school starting. Thank you!
• DONATE LEGOS OR DUPLOS to the upcoming FAMILY CREATE NIGHT on November 8. All donations will be donated back to the community following the event. Please email president@millspta.org if you would like to contribute!
• DONATE BOARD GAME ITEM! Do you have incomplete game sets or random game boards, game pieces, dice, small cups, or cards? The 5th grade Girl Scout Troops will have badge-earning activities for Daisies and Brownies at the upcoming FAMILY CREATE NIGHT and would love to reuse game pieces of their stations. UPCOMING DATES!
• October 21st through 25th is Transportation Employee Appreciation Week! This includes our four incredible crossing guards and the many bus drivers who take our children home or to after-care locations. Please take a moment to say “thank you” to these incredibly hard workers who ensure our children’s safety come rain or shine!
• REFLECTIONS ENTRIES are due on Friday, 10/25! Find out more by visiting the Reflections page on the Mills PTA website at https://millspta.org/about-pta/reflections/. This year’s theme is “Look Within”. Further questions can be directed to Kathy Adelson at Kathy.adelson@axiaoi.com.
• The MILLS SPIRIT STORE will be open on Friday, 10/25 during lunchtimes for kids to use their budgeting skills and purchase a variety of different fun items. It’s a wonderful experience and a great way for kids to learn how to save and perform mental math.
• The 5TH GRADE MONSTER MASH will be on Friday, 10/25.
• Mills PTA will be participating in the CANDY BUYBACK again this year. Save your unwanted candy and we will collect it from 11/1 through 11/5.
• SAVE THE DATE! FAMILY CREATE NIGHT is coming up on Friday, 11/8. There will be plenty of activities available for kids of all ages so bring the whole family! More information will be sent out soon about purchasing wristbands.
