Happy Weekend - and Happy Father's Day!

One of the best things about summer for me? The herb garden. It brings me joy. I love to walk out our back door and snip a little of this, a little of that, to incorporate into so many of our dishes.

We're with my parents this weekend, camping at a state park in South Dakota. Camping has been a longtime tradition in my family, ever since my parents bought a small pull-behind trailer when I was young. I have so many great campground memories from my childhood, and am grateful that my parents continue this tradition and invite us to spend a weekend with them each summer. Our family likes the casual time to catch up with many of my uncles, aunts, cousins, and old neighborhood friends. We play lots of games, ride our bikes, nap, and spend hours around the campfire. Our girls absolutely love it!

My Favorite Things this week... There has been a stack of board games out ever since school let out. And I've mentioned this game (link HERE) before, but feel the need to mention it again, as this is the game that our girls (16YO and 11YO) have been playing the most. There are many variations to the game, so they've started venturing out beyond the basic game set-up. It's quite fun - Blake and I enjoy playing this, too! CRUMBS: What We Made This Week

I never, never, never tire of banana bread. The recipe I love the most incorporates sour cream, and I've been working on some tweaks. I hope to share this recipe with you soon!
