Dear friends,

From the hills of Jerusalem, we are seeing with our own eyes the signs of climate change in the ecology of the Holy Land. Here is a recent blog post our staff wrote about a larger phenomenon than the political and religious tensions that is impacting Israelis and Palestinians alike.

ICSD Lima climate change action 2

To raise awareness about the urgency of acting on climate change, the Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development (ICSD) organized an Interfaith Climate Action in Jerusalem on December 7th in which dozens of people participated. The event was one of thirteen events around the world through the #LightforLima campaign for the UN climate talks in Lima, Peru. Click here to read more.

Our organization is working hard to mobilize faith communities to raise awareness and promote practical action and political will for environmental sustainability. In the past year, we also:
* Held a Faith and Ecology Conference in Jerusalem for 100 people, mostly clergy and seminarians
* Organized five women's interfaith gatherings on faith and ecology
* Put on press conferences with faith leaders and scientists in New York City and Lima, Peru, as part of the United Planet Faith & Science Initiative
* Generated over 35 news articles and blog posts about our work
