Hello !!

Last year "Feldenkrais" made it into the National Spelling Bee. Recently it was featured in a New York Times article by Jane Brody, well known for her science and health-related reporting. The article has been picked up by other papers and the Method is experiencing a surge in interest. See more information below, including a link to the article.

Trying the Feldenkrais Method for Chronic Pain

As Jane Brody writes: "I had long refrained from writing about this method of countering pain because I thought it was some sort of New Age gobbledygook with no scientific basis. Boy, was I wrong!"

Regular students will identify with her comment that she felt she was "walking on air" as she experienced at least temporary relief in the tight muscles contributing to her back and hip pain. Read the entire article here.

Exploring Diagonal Curves

Start the year with whole-body involvement--diagonals, curves, even spirals!
• Improve coordination with a variety of diagonal movements of right and left sides
• Explore your three-dimensional rib case and pelvis to increase flexibility in your spine
• Bring new understanding and ease to bending, turning and walking

Tuesdays Jan 9 - Feb 6 -- 10:30 - 11:30 am $32 in-city discount $40 non-city; $8 drop in if space.
Classes tend to fill so sign up early at the center or online.

Tuesdays Jan 9 - Feb 6 12:00 noon - 1 pm Register at first class please. $40 for series; $10 drop in. Bring mat or blanket for carpeted floor. Please do not park in front of neighboring homes.
