Hello readers, this is the last newsletter of the year. It's been quite an up and down year, at least for writing. With our move to Ecuador, things got a bit off track. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things in January and February (more on that below).

So first, let me wish you a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, a Wonderful Kwanza Season or just plain HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you all.

Many of you follow me on Facebook, but it appears that in 2015 it will be harder than ever to get my posts seen. Read THIS article to learn more.

So what does that mean for you? More blog posts and less Facebook posts from me. Not following my blog yet? Here's the link: Donna McNicol, Author

This was the sunset view of the Cajas National Park (in the middle of the Andes Mountain), taken from our apartment window here in Cuenca, Ecuador. Yes, that is a cloud bank!

It's summer here, the weather is gorgeous most of the day but afternoon thunderstorms are common this time of year. They are gone before sunset, leaving us with spectacular views.

I am getting excited about writing the first book in a new cozy mystery series. Born Aurelia Ruhls, orphaned at age 3, she left the foster system at age 16 and changed her name to Lia Rules.

Street smart, she has "fallen" into a career as a Private Investigator/Bounty Hunter. Her flaming red hair, black Ninja 250 motorcycle, black jeans and thigh high boots make her a highly recognizable personality in the PI world.

Wishing everyone a prosperous and healthy 2015!
