The extremely rainy weather has been making for slow growth, but the nice days this week helped. We are hopeful that hot days will be coming and we will soon be swimming in produce. We received a wonderful gift from just up the road in Greenford, from an amazing place called Redefine the Vine. This operation is known for their heirloom plants. They donated tomato plants, a pepper plant, and strawberry plants to us! We thank them for their generosity!! Look for their booth at area farmers markets and check them out on Facebook HERE. They have beautiful plants and produce. Work is going on up at the warehouse. When you are here, you might even notice large machinery or workers. Pretty soon it will be spruced up and non-leaky. We won't know what to do when we don't have to empty buckets of rain water anymore! | Sue, Shawn, and Dustin grilled chicken for lunch this week and made a Caprese salad to top it. It was a perfect summer meal! We had a change of plans on Tuesday, and Jen and Jill were the GG folks who led a station at Canfield Presbyterian's VBS. We enjoyed our time teaching about veggies and fruits and planting peppers. The theme of the day, "Jesus takes care of me!" fit right in with planting and talking about healthy food. We also learned some great jokes like, "What does a dog get when he eats a clock?...............TICKS!" Next week will start out with our Whispering Pines visit on Monday morning. Then, with next Thursday being the 4th of July, we will have a day off to spend celebrating with our families. | OUTREACH and MISSION OPPORTUNITIES | Coat & Clothing Drive Ongoing Outreach/Mission Opportunity Drop items off in the collection barrel or take them up to the Green Room, anytime throughout the year!
