One of the best kept secrets in London, Ruta is gifted with an exceptional combination of qualities as a singer and guitar player, who also writes her own songs. A rich and inventive blend of neo-soul, jazz, funk with heartfelt lyrics creates a very special sound that touches and moves.
Introduced to classical music by her mother, Ruta began taking piano lessons around age 6.
In her teens, Ruta began listening to rock and jazz music, and eventually began jazz guitar studies at Music Conservatoire in Lithuania. Growing up, Ruta also played in local jazz and world music bands, featured in festivals and won several competitions. After she has finished her jazz guitar studies in Music and Theatre Academy in Lithuania Ruta relocated to London where she has since impressed audiences all over London with her infectious rhythms and unique vocalisations.
