A Note From Mr. Sandefur

Lion Family,

As we eagerly approach the first day of school, I want to extend my heartfelt excitement to all of you. The summer months have been filled with preparation, planning, and prayer, and we are thrilled to begin this journey with you and your children.

This year promises to be an extraordinary one as we embark on a journey of learning, growth, and exploration. Our dedicated faculty and staff have been working diligently to ensure that every aspect of the school year is infused with enthusiasm and a commitment to academic excellence. We are ready to welcome both new and returning students into our school family, where we strive to create an environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning.

As we gather for the first day of school tomorrow, our campus will be filled with joy, anticipation, and hope. It is an opportunity for all of us to come together as a community, supporting and uplifting one another as we journey through this academic year. Together, we will embrace challenges, celebrate victories, and grow in knowledge and character. Let us embrace the limitless possibilities this new school year brings, united by a common goal to create an enriching and empowering educational experience for every student.

In the spirit of new beginnings, I encourage you to approach this school year with an open heart and a willingness to embrace change and growth. May we embark on this journey together with enthusiasm and dedication, trusting that with God's guidance, we will achieve great things in the days ahead.

In Christ,

Jeremy Sandefur
President/Head of School

Reminders

Visitor Policy

TKA Visitor Policy

In order to help maintain a safe and instructionally based learning environment for our students, all visitors for middle and high school must enter through the front door of the Anderson Building and sign in in the middle/high school office in order to receive a visitor's pass. All visitors for elementary must enter the front door of the Ogle Building in order to receive a visitor's pass. This pass should be visible at all times so that TKA faculty and staff know that you have checked in at the office.

Our doors are open to visitors, but please call ahead of time to schedule conferences with your child’s teachers. This will prevent interruptions to instruction and the loss of the valuable learning time of our students. Adults will not be allowed to wander the halls of the building or hold conferences with teachers during instructional times.

TKA family lunch visitors should follow the above procedure. Lunch tickets are $5 each.

Students who are not enrolled at TKA are not permitted to visit TKA students during the school day, which includes lunch.

This policy has been developed in order to help maintain a safe and instruction focused environment at school each day. Any visitor who does not meet these expectations may be asked to leave school grounds.
