Hi !

I have been ON A ROLL the last few days! I'm in design mode, Sketch book out first, then onto my computer for designing quilts.

I've designed and selected the fabric for
* My 2016 Mystery BOM which will run similar to this year and last
* New patterns for my fabric line that I'll show you in Oct. I've have 3 patterns coming out, and I love them, so excited!
* Quilts for my next book

I've spent a lot of time sitting at my computer. But to prepare for sewing, I emptied my table top trash bin and trimmed a few bits.. don't you love filling up a clean bin, or is that just me being weird?

Remember I'm running a giveaway that celebrates YOUR favorite quilt shop! Read what it's about and enter, leaving either a comment OR a photo!

If you missed it... You can Read my last newsletter online

Spread Sunshine

I usually say my favorite flower is the coneflower, until I seen a sunflower, then I am all swayed over! I think they are BOTH my favorites!

We are having a super mild summer by Virginia standards, so I'm able to walk at all times of the day. This beauty is on a stalk about 8 feet tall at someone's MAILBOX! Yes... I live in a very urban area where people plant things.. well.. wherever! Each time I've gone by the seed head as a bee on it.. funny!

A few tips from you this week!

Joan C
Added my own twist to someone's suggestion of using a tissue box to hold unruly and long bindings. I added a pencil and taped end of binding on pencil. Now I can roll up binding while ironing. I place box on floor when attaching binding to quilt. No more struggling with those long bindings. Hope this helps!

Tip of the Day
"Use a dry, nylon kitchen scrubby to clean you cutting mat. It will clean away all the lint and threads and help heal the mat as well."
