Spanish Story Time in GMS Gardens

Greensboro Montessori School is offering a special Mommy/Daddy & Me Storytime program on Friday, May 8th at 9:30am. This event is open to the public and will feature stories read in Spanish by our faculty and will conclude with a gardening activity. Campus garden tours in our edible schoolyard are also available.

At GMS, students learn Spanish from age three, and also cultivate beautiful gardens with seasonal, organic produce and flowers. GMS is committed to environmental education for every age level that leads to graduates who become life-long stewards for the earth. In the gardens children learn about parts of plants, the way food grows and tastes, and where it comes from.

By the end of 8th grade, GMS students have a working knowledge of Spanish, placing easily into Spanish 2 and beyond in high school. Their skills and experience are put to the true test during home stays with host families on a 10 day trip to Costa Rica.

Visit the campus Wednesday mornings at 9:00am. Contact Rhea Egbert, Director of Admission at 336-668-0119 or tour@thegms.org.

*Mention this newsletter, and GMS will waive the $50 application fee.
