This webinar will focus on generating new ideas and tips for maximizing your individual donor base, cultivating new donors and executing a successful Crowd Sourcing (ie. Kickstarter) campaign. With government grants, foundation money and corporate sponsorship shrinking - making the most of individual donor base is more important than ever.

We will look at three main areas:
* What techniques are getting the best results from existing donors

* What ideas people have for getting NEW donors
* How to run a successful crowd sourcing campaign (cultivating many small individual donors)

MEREDITH B. ROBBINS - DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT AT THE SCHOOL OF AMERICAN BALLET AT LINCOLN CENTER

Meredith B. Robbins is the Director of Development at the School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center, having previously served as the Director of Institutional Giving. Prior to SAB, she was a lead consultant with fundraising and strategic planning firm David Bury & Associates, where she worked with music, dance, and theatre clients with operating budgets ranging from $85,000 – $5 million. Meredith has also been affiliated with a variety of cultural organizations through her work as a professional fundraiser (and occasionally, as a dramaturg), including Miller Theatre at Columbia University, Dances for a Variable Population/Naomi Goldberg Haas, New Dramatists, The Tank, Glimmerglass Opera, The Princess Grace Awards, and Young Playwrights, among others. Meredith co-teaches the Master's level Fundraising Course at Brooklyn College-CUNY for the Performing Arts Management Graduate Program, where she focuses on Individual Giving.

JULIE GRIFFITH - DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, MAKING BOOKS SING

Julie Griffith has been the development director of Making Books Sing since the Fall of 2011. She has worked in both non-profit and commercial theater companies in development, marketing and management including Lincoln Center Festival, The Pearl Theatre Company, Soho Rep, Prospect Theater Company, Richard Frankel Productions, MTWorks, 321 Theatrical Management, Nederlander Worldwide, New York City Center, Ma-Yi Theater Company, New York Musical Festival, Target Margin Theater Company, Prospect Theater Company, New Professional Theater, Red Bull Theater Company, The Gallery Players, The Cell Theatre Company, The Production Company, The Public Theater, Working Theater, InterAct Annex, Ateh Theatre Company and Abingdon Theatre Company. She holds a BA in Theater and Creative Writing from The George Washington University and a MFA in Performing Arts Management from Brooklyn College.

Andrew is currently the Executive Director of Making Books Sing and the Interim Executive Director of Queens Symphony Orchestra. Andrew also has an active organizational consulting practice focusing on Strategic Planning and Transitions. Previously, Andrew was the Director of the Cultural Institutions Unit at the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. As a commercial producer, in addition to a number of Off-Broadway projects Andrew was an Associate Producer on Broadway with “Lombardi, A New American Play.” Andrew taught graduate Directing at NYU in the Department of Dramatic Writing and is a certified personal coach from NYU. Andrew’s passion is working with artists, entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations.
