Cape Town Cycle Tour

The 2017 Cape Town Cycle Tour should see approx 35 000 avid cyclists taking on the 109-km route around the Cape Peninsula. The route is the same as usual, taking cyclists from the city centre, down the M3 through to Muizenberg and as far south as Smitswinkel. From there they will then head north again, through Hout Bay and Camps Bay to the finish line in Green Point - right across from us! READ MORE

Cape Town Carnival

Cape Town comes alive with that carnival buzz with the seventh annual Cape Town Carnival dancing into town. For this year, the theme for the extravagant shindig is “AMAZA - Ocean Odyssey” and celebrates the city’s amazing surrounding oceans. This months hidden gem is especially for you travellers with a sweet tooth. Although pretty famous throughout South Africa, Charly’s Bakery, is often unknown to tourists.

Situated on Canterbury Street in District 6, you won't miss this bakery with its bright pink exterior and funky decorations.

They specialise in designer cakes for all occasions, bright cupcakes, petit fours, cookies and more.
