Dream Chasers—US Open National Playoffs
Greater Midland Tennis Center is the USTA-designated Midwest Site for these national playoff matches June 12-16 on our hard courts, so chase your dream, and play to win all the way to the Big Dance in the Big Apple—U.S. Open, August 31-September 13. Anyone 14 years is eligible. Five divisions include: M/W Singles, M/W & Mixed Doubles. Bring the kids, family, friends with tennis for all. Entry fee: Singles $85, Doubles $55.

Marathon Cardio Warriors
Surviving three continuous hours of Cardio & TRX Cardio Tennis mayhem were Marathon Winners Carl Henning, Mary Varilek and David Blackburn. The Cardio Warriors munched energy bars and gulped power drinks to win the contest. “I thought I would be sore the next day, but, nay, I was ready to rock and roll again.”--- Mary “Terminator” Varilek. Young Innovators: Varun Shanker & Dow High Team
Midland’s National Junior Tennis Champion Varun Shanker, 15, was on the winning team for the second year in a row that earned first place for his school in the A.H. Nickless Innovation Award competition at SVSU. The first place team received $5,000 per student in scholarship money and $20,000 for their school. Shanker’s group invented a device that could make energy and charge other devices. |

Summer Rates
Rates for the summer session June 15-September 6 are $10 to reserve clay courts, $8 to reserve hard courts, walk on available anytime. Indoor rates are $18 per hour with free walk on only for juniors with the new $50 membership. |
