WE DID IT!!
August (aka hottest month EVER) is finally OVER!
Now we move on to fall.
Fall. Wow.
Seriously?
Fall means it is officially time for Bruce to wind down his summer aestivation and start gearing up for his winter hibernation.
I have to say it - his schedule is packed.
Malti has had a busy summer full of eating, wallowing, and destroying the expensive greenery in her outdoor enclosed day play area.
(As a side note, it wasn't supposed to be "her" day play area. it was supposed to be "his and hers." But guess who hasn't even set foot in it once all summer long!)
For Pearl, it is time to wave goodbye to the summer nesting season. And say hello to the fall nesting season. Which - we predict - will be closely followed by the winter nesting season.
You can never pack in too much nesting practice before spring arrives.
The official large featherless / shell-less typist, maid, videographer and waitress is looking forward to cooler temps, which (hopefully) means fewer pet mosquitoes to feed.
How are you? Are things better, cooler, safer, in your corner of the world?
Hit "reply" here to let us know. Or drop us a comment on the flock blog which is still going strong (although frankly there are far too many shelled beings in it for Pearl's liking).
We think of you daily. We love seeing you here, there and everywhere on social media, in blog comments and in our email inbox.
And you are always in our hearts and prayers.
