Please feel free forward to fellow researchers and share the news of our journal

Dear Colleague,

We are delighted to announce the publication of Volume 4, Number 1 of Bladder Cancer (BLC). The full contents are freely available online, and can be browsed in full below.

This issue hosts an outstanding selection of articles, including three comprehensive review articles covering the immune response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, insights into DNA damage response and repair genes, and recent advances in circulating tumor DNA profiling techniques for bladder cancer.

The new issue is also the first one as the official journal of BCAN – keep reading for more details.

As the result of a new partnership announced last month, Bladder Cancer is now the official journal of the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN). Both organisations will combine resources to support a readily accessible information platform to serve the bladder cancer research and clinical practice communities.

The journal is dedicated to providing an open forum for publishing original peer-reviewed research in basic science, translational research and clinical medicine that will improve the fundamental understanding of bladder cancer and lead to more effective treatment of tumors of the bladder and upper urinary tract and improved patient outcomes.

BCAN is committed to supporting bladder cancer research and has cultivated a strong partnership with the leading members of the bladder cancer medical community to encourage collaboration among all the parties dedicated to the study of bladder cancer and its prevention, diagnosis and treatment. BCAN Research Grants 2018

Submit Your Application!

BCAN raises funds and awards grants to support early career investigators as well as innovative bladder cancer research to develop lifesaving treatments.

Applications are currently open for three Young Investigator Awards (YIA), of $50,000 each, for one year. Deadline for YIA submissions is: Monday, February 26, 2018.

There is also the opportunity to apply for BCAN's 2018 Bladder Cancer Research Innovation Award, which will support the work of one investigator with an exceptionally novel and creative project with great potential to produce breakthroughs in our understanding or the management of bladder cancer. One proposal will be funded for $300,000 over two years ($150,000 per year). Deadline for applicants to submit a letter of intent is: Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

For details about the grant program and application requirements, visit the BCAN website.
