Update- Projects for people experiencing homelessness

The first project we set up, The Games Cafe, has just marked it's first birthday. This is a weekly game for people experiencing homelessness in Camden, London.

Click HERE to check out a short video made by RPG and science Youtuber Emily Bates and the fab team at New Scientist magazine about the project.

We also presented the initial data from the first year of the project at the Pathways Homelessness Health Conferance in London in March and plan to publish the research next year.

The Camden project currently runs every Thursday afternoon in a hostel in Camden. We are also currently looking at expanding the project into Newcastle, Liverpool, Cardiff and other London hostels and I'll keep you posted as these develop. Any clinicians, support workers, GM's or indeed players interested please let me know.

Update- Project for military personnel and veterans

The second project we set up, an online TTRPG gaming opportunity for serving military personell and veterans, has just completed it's 6 month UK pilot and has been hugely succesful. This project started following a conversation with Veterans NHS in order to develop an online TTRPG 'hub' to combat social isolation and mental health issues in UK veterans.

The UK pilot ended with our first online training course for GMs in 'Therapeutic Gaming for Military Populations'.

We are now preparing to launch an online TTRPG social gaming hub called Tactical Advance to Game (TAG) and our new batch of GM's will be offering online 5e games soon.

We are now preparing to repeat the UK pilot in Australia and USA and so hopefully in the next 6 months TAG will have a lot more time zones covered.

Any military personnel (regular, reservist, or TA) or veterans interested in playing in the online 5e game, or potentially doing the online GM training, drop me a line.

There is also a 3 minute survey HERE for military personell and veterans playing TTRPGs. It is very helpful for us to collect initial data to help us plan the development of this project, but also get funding.

New- Project for people experiencing neurodiversity

We're developing an online TTRPG gaming opportunity for young people and adults living with ADHD and autism.

This will also form part of a research project with the TTRPG Neurodivergence charity Care Quest.

More details to follow, but any clinicians, GMs, or indeed players interested drop me a line.

New- Working Group for School, After-school Clubs and Libraries

We've been asked by various schools, clubs and agencies to help support evidence-based, best practice for school and after-school TTRPG clubs.

I think the best way is to start is by initially having an online conversation to share current practice and network. If you work in education, after-school clubs or libraries and want to be involved drop me a line so we can start to organise a date.
