We have big news to share this month!
Two (out of 4) members of our little flock just turned a whole year older!
And now the whole world is about to turn a year older as we welcome in yet another eagerly awaited, much-anticipated New Year.
New Year's is that time each year when some of us make intentions to evolve and others of us simply resolve to stay exactly the way we are....
Perfectly cute.
Luckily, beings in the latter group (you can spot them by looking for soft feathers or a cute curvy shell) are all about emitting as much "extreme cuteness" as possible all year long to encourage the rest of us.
Thank goodness.
Bruce's new year actually starts a bit later than everyone else's, on account of how, for the moment at least, he is still completely zonked out under a Texas-sized pile of hay.
Meanwhile, Malti has been dividing her time fairly evenly between snoozing and snacking. Apparently all that resting is hungry-making work.
Pearl is in full feather and recently topped 80 grams on the featherweight scale at the dreaded v.e.t. - his highest weight ever! With several new posh nesting sites already pre-scouted around the casa, he is feeling oh-so-ready for the return of ladybird season this spring.
As for me, I am pondering the approaching end of another 365 wonderful days of Love & Feathers & Shells, the blog, and dreaming of what may come next.
Stay tuned..... :-)
