Letter From

Community Lay Director
Hi High Plains Emmaus Community,
I want to thank you for keeping each of us in your prayers, as well as our nation as a whole. I have no clue what a new normal will even look like, but I know that we are all praying for that and soon.
It is so strange to write a letter and not be able to talk about who was our last 4th day speaker or speak of all the love and joy that comes from our meetings. To be flat out honest, I hate it. But I also know that God has a plan and we have to trust him for our directions.
So now that I have my thank you’s and trash talk out of the way, I would like to say that I have been emailing the board. (They are fantastic at taking care of our business). We are trying to figure out which churches are using their buildings and would allow sharing it with us so that we can begin to meet again and stay within the regulations placed upon us.
GOOD NEWS! We WILL HAVE COMMUNITY this coming Tuesday, June 2nd at Central Baptist Church in Clovis! However, please note that there will be NO POTLUCK!
Your assignment is to continue to pray for our community, but I want to stress that you pray for the pilgrims. We, as members, know what going to the ARC means, but pilgrims do not. Therefore, we need to make sure they will be comfortable in that setting.
I have been remiss in reminding each of us to support our churches and our community with our giving. Most churches have a way to give money online and High Plains Emmaus Community website has a way to give through Paypal.
I look forward to seeing you this Tuesday, June 4 at Central Baptist Church in Clovis at 7:00 p.m.! Whether or not you wear masks will be at your own discretion. We can’t wait to see you then!
DeColores,
Mary Lou Kropp
