Concert Success! The Dog Days of Summer concert was a success! We greatly appreciate Rick Yates, Dave Deckebach, Jack Reed, David Kinard and Connor Yates for putting their talent to a good cause and SERVING by performing such a wonderful concert. We raised $3,896 for the building fund. Thank you to all our volunteers and everyone who helped make the concert a success! | Sunday Night CONNECT This Sunday, Oct. 1 @ 5:00p Sunday Night CONNECT will be at Kelly Brown's home (1868 Gordon Manor, NE). Kelly's home is in Sutherland Place in Candler Park - the community behind the Lake Claire pool in the condos building on Gordon Manor (only two streets). She lives upstairs in the back. Folks can park on the street, look for the glass door in the middle of the building, and she is upstairs on the second floor. | Men's CONNECT! Wednesday, Oct. 4 @ 7p The next Men's CONNECT will be at the Parsonage, 889 Euclid Ave. NE. Please bring a drink to share and come CONNECT with other men in our church! | We have a new "Prayground"! We welcome children of all ages and the sounds and activity that accompany them, as Jesus did! There are a number of spaces and activities designed for children to experience and participate in worship according to their needs including worship bags, GROW groups, the nursery, and the new prayground. Our “Prayground” is the space on the right side of the Sanctuary, intended especially for families with infants and toddlers. It is our way of recognizing that small kids are often more engaged when they can see what is going on. Small tables and chairs, baby bouncers and seats, and soft toys help to keep our littlest ones occupied. Rocking chairs are available for infants who will enjoy worship more while being rocked. The Lord’s prayer is used in some form in almost all branches of the church. Since the days of the early church, Christians have used this prayer in personal and communal worship. The Lord’s Prayer is so familiar to many of us that we do not remember when we learned to pray it. But what does the prayer mean? Join in worship as we consider together what the petitions of the Lord’s prayer mean for out life as Christians.

Volunteers can serve any weekday, Monday-Friday between 4:00-6:00 and can start as soon as September 11. Volunteers will primarily work with elementary students on homework or other academic enrichment activities. Before you can begin volunteering they need 3 things: 1. 2. Background Check Fee: All volunteers are responsible for the background check fee of $20. This can be paid in person or online (click here).

By following the cycle throughout the year, you would pray your way around the globe. We will start listing the different countries each week in our prayer list.
