Let’s spend some time outside with our St. Mark friends and enjoy the sunshine! Dress in play clothes and bring a towel, because we’re going to play games, throw water balloons, and eat popsicles - all out on our beautiful lawn. Let’s celebrate summer together!

New Giving Platform
We have made the switch to an integrated church management and electronic giving platform. It is called Tithely/Breeze and it contains a secure giving platform recommended by the ELCA. This has replaced Pushpay and Shephard Staff church management system. If you need help creating an account with Tithely, please contact Martina Schumaker, finance manager at 815-398-3557 or martina@stmarklc.com. You can download the free Tithe.ly app on the App store or on Google Play. Some people have asked if they have to set up an account with Tithely and the answer is no. You can still write checks for your giving.

St. Market is in Need of Supplies
We have had several people utilize our St. Mark Market. The supplies are running low with the demand being higher than we have experienced in several months. The best items for St. Market are
crackers with peanut butter or cheese in them, canned goods with a pull top (ravioli is a good one), breakfast bars, bottled water, meat sticks (without refrigeration required), and other easy to carry food items that don’t require cooking or refrigeration. We have designated a spot in the kitchen to place donations, please look for the sign on the kitchen counter. Thank you for helping to love and serve our neighbors.

Looking to Volunteer?
My name is Vicki Hurlburt, and I am a member of St. Mark. I would like to invite you to participate in and possibly become a member of a new charter for the Lions Club International. The Rockford area is starting up a new Chapter called the 815 Lion's or Northern Illinois "815'ers" that will focus on assisting children with cancer and their families. It will not be their only focus however, as they provide assistance in SO many ways throughout our upper northern Illinois region. The Lion's Club is the largest non-profit organization in the world and has been established since 1917. When making the decision to somehow "give back" and "get involved" in the community, this immediately grabbed my attention and ever since, I have been privileged to meet some very motivated and fun people! I encourage you to attend one of our meetings (1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month) the first is virtual and the second one is held at MNTS CC. Neither are very long and attendance at each is not mandatory as we realize that we all have very busy schedules! If you are interested, please reach out to me at or stop at the office for my contact information. Thank you for your time!
