Join us this month as we raise our voices in THANKSGIVING and in PRAYER to our heavenly Father because:
• We were unable to send out a May Prayer Letter due a very busy May that culminated in our diocesan synod that brought a series of legislative changes to update our relationships with the Anglican Province in North America and our mission with the Province of the Church of Nigeria. Please PRAY that the results will bring further gospel mission on our continent with the goal of planting more reformed evangelical Anglican churches. Give THANKS that the gospel is still maintained, promoted, and protected through the assemblies of our church. No gospel denying position has been ruled legitimate in our synods either local or national. PRAY that schism may be avoided in the premature departure without biblical cause of ministers and congregations for other Anglican jurisdictions.
• All Souls once again gathered with three other gospel churches in our ninth annual outreach: The Community Freedom Celebration on May 26th. PRAY that the message brought by our speaker will bear fruit especially in the conversion of the four school coaches awarded for their service to young people in athletics. Give THANKS for the fine weather and fellowship among us on the day.
• We are nearing the end of our expository sermon series on Luke’s Gospel in the next two months. Begun on the first Sunday of 2017, the total will reach 98 sermons in all. Give THANKS in how God’s Word has transformed our congregation over that period. Please pray for God to oversee my revision tomorrow, and to renew our minds through tomorrow's preaching of his Word, so that lives might be continually transformed. PRAY that I may exercise wise discernment toward our next expository series.
