MUSIC EDUCATION GROUP PARTNERS WITH CITY OF SOUTH FULTON TO HOST PRESS CONFERENCE SUPPORTING ATLANTA’S YOUTH

August 23, 2022

Under the leadership of Music Executive and Radio Music Hall of Fame honoree Ric Ross, Music Education Group will host a press conference to exhibit the collaborative effort between South Fulton County, community partners and Music Entertainment Group.

Music Education Group is raising money for Atlanta’s youth with a 12-hour Treadmill-a-Thon, August 26th at Welcome All Park, 4255 Will Lee Rd, College Park, Ga 30349, to benefit programs for Georgia’s youth.“We are excited to welcome the inaugural Tread-mill-a-thon and the partnership of MEG to our city at Welcome All Recreation Center. This is a healthy challenge for our residents and fun way to give back to the youth in our community. I am looking forward to this becoming an annual event,” says Councilwoman Carmalitha Gumbs, City of South Fulton.
Helen Z. Willis, South Fulton District 3 is also longtime supporter of MEG. She has witnessed firsthand how the program has impacted youth in her district. “I wanted to be a part of this event because it’s an awesome idea that will positively impact our children. Music is a universal language, it motivates us, comforts us, allows us to capture moments and its one of the biggest cultural influences, if not the biggest. MEG is doing a great job educating our young people on the dynamics of the business. Not everyone will be a rapper or singer but there are so many other opportunities in music. Hit records are a collaborative effort between artist, engineer, producer, songwriter and so many more jobs. This program educates young people and gives them the skills required to be successful in many different areas of music creation. We are happy to support and I think the entire community should get behind this program. It’s another way to give our children an opportunity for success,” Willis shares.
“Music Education Groups mission is to teach life skills through music, film and digital media. Our challenge is to make sure the next generation of creators is equipped with the skills they need to be successful in our global economy,” explains James Caldwell, Executive Director, Music Education Group.
