We are so excited to start the 2017-2018 school year. Over 640 kids started school on Wednesday and we are excited to have each of them as part of the Warrior family. Our teachers have worked hard this summer attending professional development, preparing their classrooms, and working on lessons for the school year. Our administrative staff has also worked tirelessly making sure that everything is prepared for the school year. All of our new staff has hit the ground running and we are excited about what they bring to our team. The school maintenance staff has spent countless hours painting, repairing and refurbishing our campus. We are proud of the facility improvements and hope that you are also.

The CHCA Swim Team is looking forward to an exciting 2017 season. There will be a CHCA Swim Team student/parent meeting this Thursday, Aug. 10th at 6:30 in the West Campus conference room. If you would like more information, please contact the coaches at chcaswim@chbss.org.

Parents of all new 7th and 8th graders are invited to attend an informational parent meeting on August 15th at 7:00 a.m. in
Mrs. Newton’s classroom on the Church Campus regarding the Washington D.C. middle school trip that will take place in the spring. This meeting will cover all details surrounding the trip. Families who are already registered for the trip do not need to attend this meeting (a parent meeting for all registered for the trip will occur later in the semester). The deadline for all new families to register for the D.C. trip is Friday, September 8th.

Welcome back! We are so thrilled to welcome our students back to the West Campus for the 2017-2018 school year. A new school year usually brings a few changes and I want to make certain you all are aware of a few:

1. Please be patient with schedule change requests. Mrs. Hall and I assure each family that we are working diligently to accommodate students. The last day to change a schedule is August 29, 2017.
2. Mrs. Ali White is the office manager on the West Campus. If you need to send an email notification regarding student absence, tardies, and dismissal, please email her at whitea@chbss.org.
3. Students will be given an INow login and a student email/Office365 account within the first few days of school. It is imperative that students responsibly communicate with their teachers using the school email and Office365 accounts.
4. Please remember to pay your student activity fees.
5. Please be sure to read over the 2017-2018 Student Handbook found on the website.

Finally, please know that I am here to help your students and look forward to working with them. We are in for an excellent year!
