About the Program

The presentation will begin with the 1937 separation from India and the KGV provisional issue necessitated by the abdication of Edward VIII. Next will be the 1938 KGVI issue including the design complications. The final section will cover the wartime uses of both issues until the 1942 Japanese occupation. Many high denominations on cover do not exist util this period, and important earliest and latest known uses will be shown, including a cover with a pair of the difficult 25 rupees.

This month's program by our presenter Mike Ley will share the many varieties and uses of these two sets of father and son definitives in great detail.
