Today is Remembrance Day. It's a day of "remembrance for the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace" (Veterans Affairs Canada). On this day please join us in praying a special prayer of thanksgiving for these wonderful men and women.
A REMEMBRANCE DAY PRAYER:
"Father thank You for the men and women who have served, and continue to serve in the Canadian Armed Forces. For those that have gone on to eternity leaving loved ones behind, we pray that You would comfort their family in a special way today. We pray that these loved ones would feel the nearness of Your Spirit tangibly. For those who are still with us, and those in current service roles, we pray that You would speak tenderly to their hearts of Your love for them. For any that do not know You, we ask that You would draw them to the saving knowledge of Christ today. For those who do know You, we pray they would find great purpose in You for their days ahead as they continue to serve You in this role. Father we pray that this day You would fill the hearts of Canadians with deep honour for these men and women who serve so sacrificially. We pray that they would always feel the love and appreciation of their fellow Canadians and that they would be well cared for by our nation. Father bless our war vets and men and women currently in service we pray. In Jesus' name. Amen."
