What does success mean to you-

Hi Member,

Success means......

Well I guess it means different things to different people. To some success is money, to others it's holidays, or time to spend with the family or even having a happy family.

Whatever it means to you - do you think you're achieving it with your veterinary practice? Or in your job?

This week we have two different, although still connected Guest Blog Posts. One discusses the importance of 'Coping skills' when dealing with common stressors in the veterinary industry. The other answers the big question: Is it possible to have a successful, profitable veterinary practice? The answer is YES..apparently it's totally possible and simple to do (although simple and easy are totally different things!)

I think it comes back to my motto for 2016...If you change nothing...nothing changes! So what are you going to change in your life this year?

If this has got you thinking you definitely need to consider applying for the scholarship valued at $5850.00 for a place in the Veterinary Practice Marketing Made Easy Program (Turbo Charge Your Practice). It's a 6 month coaching and mentoring program that will help to transform your business. But applications close soon so be quick! This is an opportunity that could transform your entire career.

Also this week we welcome Petplan and VETtalk TV to the Vetanswers Business Directory. Thanks to Brian and Kaye at VETtalk TV, I had a great time this week recording my first ever podcast for their new VETtalk.biz podcast series. I know it'll be a great new resource I'm looking forward to sharing with our Community.

Finally this week there are some awesome workshops for veterinary nurses from both CCG and ACVN.

Our aim is to help you - save time, connect & discover!

Enjoy your reading :)

Business resource for the week.....

veterinary-benchmarks-revenue-leaks 450-278-v2.jpg.crop display

5 laughs/lessons on revenue leaks

5 great suggestions from dvm360 on how you can plug revenue leaks in your practice...

1. Clients who've snuck away - follow up on all those clients you haven't seen for awhile & show them a little love (even better - next time they visit, forward book their following appointment!)
2. Charges that disappear - take turns to review invoices against cases and see if you can track down missed fees - then work out how to stop doing it
3. Things that take WAY TOO LONG to do - what's regularly slowing you down and how can you make things more efficient?
4. Prescriptions that don't show up - don't give up the battle against on-line sales - work to convince your clients of your superior service.
5. Financing that's never discussed - what other options can you offer clients to help them afford the care their pet needs?

Don't tackle all these at once though, instead try to focus on one every week or two.
