Hi there,
We had a lovely customer at the table who needed a new circular needle. Ginni asked her whether she wanted Addi's, ChiaGoo Red Lace, or Lykke's. She said, "I don't know, which one is the cheapest?" As it happens, they're all within a few dollars of each other, and I was sad that her decision was going to come down to price. I said, "You know, each needle is slightly different, and you ought to decide based on the yarn, the project, and your personal preference. Why don't you try them all and see which works best for you?" So she did. I don't remember what she chose, but I was happy that she had made a conscious choice rather than opting for what might have been a sub-optimal selection based entirely on price.

Tanis Gray weekend

We're thrilled to welcome designer and teacher, Tanis Gray back to Crazy for Ewe October 19th and 20th. Tanis' designs have been featured in Vogue Knitting, Interweave Knits, Knit Scene, Vogue Knitting books, and more. She is best known for her designs in Fair Isle and stranded knitting, and is one of our most popular guest instructors.

Tanis will be teaching 4 different colorwork classes with something for everyone.

I literally cannot wait to cast on. This slouchy easy fitting sweater for fall in cozy Ultralight Merino is my idea of heaven. Soft yarn, big needles, and no seaming. What's not to love? Come knitalong with us starting this We'll be Friday afternoon at 1:30 starting September 27th. I'll also be in the shop Saturdays at 1:30, so join us!

You'll need between 1000 and 1560 yards depending on the size you knit.

Some great options are Concept Ultralight Merino (which I'm using), Wooladdicts Trust, Wooladdicts Faith, or Cestari Mt. Vernon. All beautiful choices for this modern sweater.

Noro event Fall 2019 1

We've had so many people interested in seeing the latest from Noro, that I've decided to make it a free event. If you've already paid for the event, your registration fee will go towards any purchase you make that evening. Join us as we celebrate Noro Yarns and their beautiful colors inspired nature. This is a great top down project by everyone's favorite Heidi Kirrmaier. Cables and a bit of lace make it fun and interesting, and US size 10s make it fast.
