Minna Moffatt-Feldman
Our 7th and final Wonder Woman Of The Day is the brilliant Minna Moffatt-Feldman, nominated by Sarah.
Sarah says...
"A few years ago I signed up to a course and Minna was my British Sign Language teacher. Right from the very first lesson she made us all feel so comfortable whilst guiding and supporting us through learning a new language and about Deaf culture. Whenever we struggled she was always there to boost us up and give us a positive nudge.
Minna works for Genie Networks, a Charity in Trafford that provides support for deaf people and their families. She is so passionate about what she does, from teaching to fundraising, job support and working with children. As well as the work she does she volunteers so much time to support those who need her. I remember struggling on my BSL Level 3 course and Minna came in on her day off to meet with me to help me understand some difficult sections, pass my exam and feel like I could sign confidently.
Minna has helped support me not only through my studies but inspired me to translate my play and work with the deaf community. I am so passionate about BSL and access, and that is all inspired by the clear infectious passion and drive that Minna has passed onto me."
