It's Miles of Pillowcase Smiles Time!

Ready, Set, Sew!

Today, September 1st, kicks off our annual Miles of Pillowcase Smiles campaign to coincide with #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth. Throughout the month, generous volunteers in our chapters will be sewing up pillowcases to help reach a collective goal of 40,000 pillowcases. Will you join us and help to bring comfort to children and their families?

A Story of Inspiration

"As a mom with a baby that’s been in the hospital for an extended amount of time, I want all of you to know how truly special each of you are. We started out in the NICU where your bright and colorful pillowcases were used to make nests for her tiny crib. Having something cheerful and pretty in such a stressful environment meant so much to us. Having gone through PICU and now on to PEDS, we still enjoy the pops of happiness...What you do is not unnoticed and I can’t thank you enough because even the smallest gestures mean so much." ~ A grateful mom.

How to Get Involved

▪ Grab your fabric, scissors and thread those machines and MAKE some pillowcase smiles.
▪ Ask your guild, sewing group, or friends to hold a pillowcase sewing event, virtual or in-person, in September.
▪ Don't sew? You can help support our mission by making a donation online or by sending a check to Ryan's Case for Smiles, 295 E. Swedesford Road #396, Wayne, PA 19087.
▪ Does your company match charitable contributions? It is a great to double your impact. Not sure if your company participates, click here to search.
▪ Host a Facebook Fundraiser to help raise funds and bring awareness to our mission.
▪ Ask your friends on Facebook and other social media sites to sew or make a donation.
▪ Post photos on social media of your pillowcase making and be sure to tag us @caseforsmiles and use the hashtag #2022MilesofSmiles.
