How gorgeous is the international cover of QUIET IN HER BONES to the left? This is my second New Zealand set thriller, and I'm so excited for it to be out next year.
If you missed the blurb about this book, scroll down to read it.
This is a shorter than usual newsletter because I've literally just turned in this book to my editor, and I'm ready to sit down and binge watch Netflix for the next couple of days!
After that, however, I plan to write a short story for you - so look out for that in the August newsletter.
In the meantime, Cherish Hard is currently FREE to download. My books rarely go on sale, so do take advantage of this opportunity before it disappears! (More info below).
While on my small post-deadline break, I also plan to catch up on some reading and hopefully I'll have a few book recs for you in future newsletters.
My most recent favorite read has been "A Dead Djinn in Cairo" by P. Djeli Clark - a paranormal mystery set in 1912 Cairo with steampunk elements. I've already read P. Djeli Clark's two other novellas since, and am looking forward to his full length novel next year. (And since I was on deadline when I found his work, the fact I read all three novellas so quickly is saying something!)
I hope you're all doing well, given the unprecedented times in which we're living. Though I live in New Zealand, I've always got all of you on my mind. I know my readers are scattered throughout the world, all of you in different situations.
New Zealand initially had a total lockdown (alert level 4), but we're now at alert level 1 and book event organizers are starting to plan events once more. At present, I'm scheduled for an August event during Hamilton Book Month. Scroll down for more info.
Here's hoping I can see more of you soon.
Enjoy the tidbits in the newsletter, don't forget to grab Cherish Hard, and I'll be back next month with a short story. :)
