Worship at 8:00 and 10:30 am

The Gospel for this Sunday is

Matthew 22:34-40

Jesus’ summary of the law in today’s gospel echoes our first reading from Leviticus. We are called not only to love God with heart, soul, and mind, but also to love our neighbor as ourselves. It is out of such deep care that Paul shares the gospel with the Thessalonian community. In the confession of sins, we acknowledge that we have not loved God, neighbor, and self; yet we gather to hear the word of forgiveness and to be strengthened by word and meal to be signs of God’s love and mercy in the world.

Preaching Survey

Participate Online!

The pastoral support committee hosted two congregational forums concerning the preaching at Lake Edge over the past three years, and its relationship to our congregational Vision Statement. You can still participate by filling out the online survey at are three guided questions. The impetus for this survey is connected to Pr. Stephen’s Doctor of Ministry work. However, it is also a wonderful opportunity for you to be heard concerning the preached word at Lake Edge. Please consider being a part of this effort. A big “thank you” from Pr. Stephen to all who are able to participate.

On October 29 we will be confirming six of our teens: Myah Gudmandsen, Jacob Fisher, Benjamin Moen, Riley Geil, Nicholas Noffke, and Tyler Schey. They have served as leaders and friends within the community of confirmation teens.
