Tech Prep for Summer Break

Summer vacation is right around the corner and is a great opportunity to relax, spend time outdoors and “unplug” from our busy lifestyles. Before leaving the school for the summer break, there are a few technology items that should be considered:

▪ Submit technology requests, questions or concerns as soon as possible so that we can start working on them. REMC1 maintains normal working hours over the summer and can address your technology needs before the back-to-school rush. Please visit support.remc1.net for more information.
▪ Mobile devices like iPads and Chromebooks should be returned to their storage carts and connected to their chargers.
▪ Classroom computers can be powered down but should remain plugged into a power source. This will ensure that we can access them remotely to perform updates and other necessary maintenance tasks.
▪ Back up locally stored data (Google Drive can be great for this!)
▪ Return REMC1 maker kit items
▪ Continue checking your email. Important updates regarding your technology requests, upcoming professional development sessions and other important information may be shared during the summer months.
