Winter: A time for warm welcomes

Dr Kathryn Farqhuarson

This month we warmly welcome Dr Kathryn Farquharson to Prahran. However, we also bid farewell to Dr Josh Richmond who has been a valued member of the Prahran team

Our newest member of staff, vet Kathryn Farquharson, brings extensive experience in specialist referral practice to her role. Originally from Queensland, Kathryn undertook a small animal medicine residency in Brisbane, before moving to Melbourne where she has worked in general practice as well as providing her skills in ultrasound imaging to patients at the Lort Smith Animal Hospital. Our clients and patients are sure to love Kathryn's friendly personality and she's looking forward to getting to know as many of you as possible!

Dr Josh will be known to many of you no doubt, he's been a valued part of the team at Prahran since 2013. The lure of overseas travel followed by an exciting opportunity to experience practice in WA see Josh spreading his wings. Many of our clients will be sorry to see him go and we know you'll join us in wishing him all the best. Good luck Josh!

Riley in action

PRAHRAN'S PATIENT OF THE MONTH

We were proud to learn that one of our patients "Riley" the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel placed second in the Victorian Championship show earlier this month.

It could all have gone wrong though, Riley was racing to recover from a painful corneal ulcer (caused by an untimely poke in the eye from a tree branch) right up until the big day. Thankfully he was feeling great by the time it came to perform in the showring.

We know you'll join us in congratulating Riley and his mum Pam!
