Dr Carl: Hanging Up the Stethoscope

After 40 years as a vet in Prahran, Dr Carl Muller is retiring.

Upon graduation from university in 1968 Carl worked as a vet in both Australia and the UK, he founded Prahran Vet way back in 1975. Whilst the practice has relocated from its original site further down the hill, and despite many changes in staff and practice growth since then, Carl's has remained a constant presence.

We know you'll join us in thanking Carl for his vision in starting the Prahran Vet Hospital all those years ago, and also congratulating him on his many years of service to the animals and petlovers of the area. If you'd like to read more about his journey, take a look at our blog.

Carl will continue his long association with Prahran, through his pet acupuncture consultancy.

Minister for Small Business The Hon Kelly O'Dwyer MP presents Dr Diana with our community award

40 Years and Going Strong

Life begins at 40, or so the saying goes. This year Prahran Vet Hospital hit a significant milestone yet we've barely had a chance to pause and reflect!

When federal member for Higgins and Minister for Small Business Kelly O'Dwyer invited us to morning tea recently we were delighted to be recognised for Prahran Vet Hospital's long and significant association with our community.

We're chuffed, but we're not resting on our laurels, we'll always be looking for ways to better serve the pets of Prahran and surrounds. Permit us maybe just a few glasses of bubbly (we'll be announcing a celebration in early 2016 for which we'd love you to join us)
