FALL IS HERE.

Hi !

What a season it's been for us. Our son Zachary is keeping us on our toes as he continues to grow and change and we also had a busy wedding season (with 2 more to go!) - with lots of changes coming to Sugar Leaf!

Our son has taught us a lot this year, one of those things is priorities - as our family grows so has our team here at Sugar Leaf Films.

This year we added a new cinematographer, Chris, and a new editor, Rick, to our team. We also continued to work with Danielle, our assistant cinematographer, who will now be lead cinematographer, who filled in for me last year when Zachary came 6 weeks early.

Our goal by next wedding season is to have Chris + Danielle shoot while Rick + I, Heather, edit. Ben + I have complete faith in the individuals we have hired - they have done a great job so far and I know they will continue to be even better by next wedding season.

Some other exciting changes is we now offering several new things beside just wedding films including music videos, vendor promo films and slow motion video booths!

This wedding season we had the pleasure of filming Ben's youngest sister's wedding - and with that - I was able to edit something a little different. Typically we use songs with lyrics for our Highlights but this one I decided to use a song without lyrics and let their vows + a toast be the "lyrics" of the Highlight. Enjoy!

It's amazing how much a baby can change in a year. He is crawling, soon-to-be walking and talking and pretty much eats on his own - we are almost bottle-free too!

His first birthday party was small and simple but as filmmakers - we couldn't let the big day go by without a small film.
