Garden & Nursery News

The Garden will be led by Jennifer Lynch this Sunday. The lesson will focus on the amazing things God does in our lives. As always, activity pages will be on the table by the Sanctuary doors for kids who remain in Worship.

Nursery kids (age 3 & younger) are invited to the Nursery for Bible story time. Would YOU like to spend some time in the Nursery and get some quality time with our youngest church family members? Volunteers needed and greatly appreciated! Talk to Jen Lynch!

Youth Group

We spent time last Sunday exploring the topic of kindness in relation to our words and actions. We pondered the questions, "Is it true? Is it loving? Is it helpful? Is it necessary?" We also had time for games, including a group favorite that the kids refer to as "The Game." Hope to see everyone this Sunday evening from 6-7:30pm!
Snack this week provided by: Maci Vignon.

Happenings Here

Meet Bob the Toad, one of the many animal friends we have had stay with us at Goodness Grows! You can visit him upstairs, right outside the sound room. Our staff and clients have had a ton of animal adventures this year and learned so much about nature. We are currently learning from Bob, as well as some salamanders, as we head into the cold weather. Besides toad care, we spent time this week working outside on our property, volunteering at Whispering Pines, enjoying Orange Leaf frozen yogurt, making lots of Jungle Jam, and much more! If you would like to join in the fun and work - you are always welcome! Stop in and spend time with us most any day of the week.

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.

National Diabetes Awareness Month

Awareness months, weeks, and days are important. They allow people with certain health conditions - along with their loved ones, advocacy organizations, and support groups - to rally around a common cause and lend support. Education, fundraising, and support events are often held during these times. They can bring people together for a great cause. For example, February is American Heart Month, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and November is American Diabetes Month. Since it is almost World Diabetes Day, take a moment to check out this information and quiz to find out: Could you spot the warning signs?

If you know of any interesting news or events,
please let us know, so that we can pass it on to others!
