Local people wanted for multiple roles in feature film being shot in Kingston

Casting interviews this Wednesday and Thursday at Kingston's Opera House, 10AM to 7:30PM. Please share this email with all your contacts who might be interested in getting involved!

Kingston is fast becoming a hub for film production. Mayor Gallo and the City of Kingston have helped create a film friendly city and really get that movie production is great for business and great for the area in general. Kingston residents and businesses have welcomed the visiting film crews with open arms and some very fine meals!. Since mid Summer two feature movies have been shot in our fair city- the psycho thriller "Jack Goes Home" and murder mystery, "King Cobra".

The excitement continues in November with "Love After Love" a family drama starring Andy MacDowell and Chris O'Dowd and directed by Russ Harbaugh.

The feature film "Love After Love" is seeking local people of all ages (including folk in their seventies, eighties and nineties) to play speaking and non speaking roles. Non actors are most welcome- in fact preferred for several of the characters. The director, Russ Harbaugh, wants locals with interesting faces and personalities, AUTHENTIC to the characters in the film, so no prepared audition is needed.

All you need to do to request an interview is the following:

ONE: Check out this link: Here

It will help you learn more about the film, the different roles being cast and rate. The shoot schedule for each role is still TBD but the company tells me they should have dates ready at the interview.

TWO: Send an email asap to contact@wearebreakthrough.com, type “Love After Love” in the subject line, tell the casting agents Dana and Johanna: your name, what role you see yourself as and what day you would like to come in and, well, just talk to them for five minutes! This sounds like the easiest audition ever!

Here are the dates/times/location the film company will be in Kingston:

November 4th, Wednesday - 10:00AM - 7:30PM
November 5th, Thursday - 10:00AM - 7:30PM

Kingston's Opera House Office Bldg.
275 Fair Street, Office 17F
Kingston, NY 12402
(A big thank you to the Opera House owner Bill Oderkirk for his generosity in hosting the casting interviews!)

I am proud that my "Studio 286" Live/Work apartment in the heart of Uptown Kingston hosted the production offices and accommodations for the core production team for "Jack Goes Home" and "King Cobra" this Summer and Fall. Studio 286 is looking forward to continuing to offer a wonderful home away from home experience for filmmakers and creative entrepreneurs visiting the city and working with them as a friendly liaison for everything the area has to offer.
