New Luxury Patent Design Shoe Brand – Exotic by Cedrick – Makes Impressive TV & Event Debut; Preps for Inaugural NYFW Presentation in Early 2019

New luxury shoe brand, Exotics By Cedrick, debuted at the Secret Room Events 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards gift suite back in June ‘18 at the InterContinental Century City in Los Angeles, California.

The Tampa-based brand, known for its U.S. design patent for high heel outsoles swathed in leather snakeskin and encrusted with Swarovski crystals, quickly booked regional television features with NBC and Fox along with a TV spot in Washington DC and magazine features in the Beverly Hills Market among others.

Designed by Cedrick M., Exotics By Cedrick donates a percentage of sales to HIV/AIDS awareness and research. The brand will take the fashion world head-on with its inaugural NYFW debut in February 2019.

New York City Metro Area McDonalds’ Celebrates Summer Re-Grand Opening with a Dedication to Scholarship, Athleticism, and Community Outreach

McDonald’s of Spring Valley, New York reopened over the summer with a remodeled interior, dual lane drive-thru, free wi-fi, new digital self-order kiosks and table service. The upgraded features were designed to make it easier for guests to order meals on their own terms, creating a more engaging and relaxing dine-in experience.

The Rockland County, New York location partnered with area schools, faculty and staff to celebrate a campaign that encouraged scholarship, athleticism and community outreach.

Special guests of the festive ribbon cutting ceremony included: (Spring Valley Mayor) Alan Simon; (Spring Valley Deputy Mayor) Bernard Charles; and (Spring Valley Board Trustee Member) Sherry McGill. LGBTQ Documentary Film – “parTy boi: black diamonds in ice castles” – Screens Across the World Sparking Necessary Debate About Drug Addiction and HIV Awareness

It’s been a banner year for award-winning documentary film, “party boi: black diamonds in ice castles.” Written and directed by Micheal Rice, it focuses on the effects of crystal meth addiction in LGBTQ communities of color. Featuring real stories of real people who are dealing with and surviving crystal meth addiction. A riveting film to captivate audiences and change the perception of the “Party & Play” lifestyle within the inner-city demographic of LGBTQ people of color.

“parTy boi” kept up its media consistency with features in Attitude Magazine UK; Busy Being Black Podcast; Gay Star News; Georgia Voice; and TheBody(dot)com among others.

Throughout 2018, the documentary was screened in the following territories: New York City; Newark, New Jersey; Chicago; Atlanta; New Orleans; Los Angeles; Toronto, Canada; London UK; and Manchester UK, among others.

Bahamian Publisher – Duho – Promotes Country’s Literature and Launches New Podcast

In 2018, Bahamian-American publishing house, Duho, released three books celebrating the nation’s culture and history. Brooklyn-born Bahamian author Wendy Coakley-Thompson’s mission to revive and restore her country’s literary scene led her to introduce texts that highlight not only the beauty of Bahamas, but its people and their experiences and traditions — because many stories were not being told. In the late fall, the publishing company also released Duho Cast– a podcast powered by Duho.
