"I pray you are doing great today. Great is God’s faithfulness to us all. His mercies are new each day! Monday we celebrated Memorial Day, remembering all the fallen Heroes we knew and those we were not blessed to know; the sacrifices made with their lives. Let us never forget." "God laid this week’s Word on my heart that goes along with Memorial Day. “MEMORY” is the Word. “Memory” is a recollection of things. A “memory” can be happy, sad, overwhelming, hurtful, joyful, shocking, painful, or just enjoyable. A “memory” is a captured moment that lies silently until an emotion, action, or even something tangible happens. I have the most wonderful “memory” of my dad when I smell good men’s cologne. That may sound funny, but it is truth. Some things or feelings can bring back a “memory.” What “memory” are we leaving behind for those who come after you? Are we leaving a loving “memory?” Are we capturing every moment with the best “memory” possible? Are we letting the Holy Spirit guide our thoughts, words, and actions to leave a “memory” worth remembering? I pray every day that I am guided and directed by the Holy Spirit, that my “memory” will be one of leading others to Jesus though His Love and light. We are not here to show off our works but to lead by love and let the Holy Spirit make the “memory” come alive in all that we meet. God blessed me with a wonderful heritage and my “memory” is very thankful. May you reflect in the “memory” that Jesus loves us and sacrificed His life so we can live eternally with Him." But the Helper will teach you everything and will cause you to remember all that I told you. This Helper is the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name.. ~ John 14:26 (NCV) | Stove Usage If you are interested in being able to use the new stove, we must show you the special "tricks" to operating it! For safety reasons, you will need to get a quick stove lesson from Rachel Vignon before you can get cooking. The rest of the wet wall arrived...finally! Watch for a date for an installation party to be announced! We were so glad to get back to jam making this week. Both Rachel and Cam led jam making experiences, to great success. It is good to have the building smelling like peppers and fruit once more! We will be at the Youngstown Flea on the 12th and the Columbiana Chamber's Block Party on the 19th, so jam making had to be kicked into high gear. The weather didn't always cooperate these last few days, but much was still accomplished by our crew. Planting was done. The areas between the rows in the fields were re-tilled and we covered them with corn gluten meal to help prevent weeds. A handful of strawberries were harvested. (Yum!) Cleaning was done throughout the building. We even had time for a short walk in the woods to celebrate Cam having boots instead of trash bags to keep his feet dry! | Jungle Jam & Juicy Jam Goodness Grows Jungle Jam and Juicy Jam are available in several flavors at Reach for the STARS in Salem.
