Neil's Sharpening Service will be at the market this Thursday too. I know lots of folks have been looking for Neil - this is the week to bring all of your dull things to the market for a fresh edge.

I made this recipe for Sunday Supper and the family raved about it, Vaguely Vietnamese Slow Cooker Pork Tacos. Cooking the pork shoulder is so simple in the slow cooker. One suggestion - throw a star anise or two into the slow cooker to hike up the flavor profile.

But the real star of this recipe is the slaw - it's incredible, with the tacos or all by itself. And you can get everything you need for the slaw at the farmers market! I can't wait to make it again, Thursday night after market!

Old Homestead Farm - Lots of fresh crisp greens this week including red leaf, butter, and romaine lettuce, salad mix, watercress, and pea shoots. We still have tasty Brussels sprouts, radishes, red beets, cabbage, fresh herbs, ginger, turmeric, spaghetti squash and acorn squash.

Lindenhof Farm - Fresh pork this week, including pork shoulder. Also available: pasture raised beef, lamb, pork, turkey, and chicken; and our delicious sausages. Cucina Verde - Cucina Verde is happy to get your new year off to a good start! Stop by and get some small batch lacto fermented foods. We will have Moroccan Carrots, 3-D kraut, curtido and kim chi. These are delicious with sandwiches, salads, fried eggs, rice dishes and meat dishes.

Funny Farm Apiaries - With the new year here comes new flavors. We have Bacon, Caramel, Smoky Hot, Chocolate Cherry, & Chocolate Cappuccino & Peanut Butter. Bacon great to use as a spread on sandwiches or dipping cheese in. Caramel goes great with dipping apples or poured over ice cream. Smoky Hot is great with cheese, spread on a sandwich or the best is used with chicken wings. Those are just a few suggestions for some of our new flavors.
