YOGA TIP

I love this quote, and it’s been on my mind a lot lately. We’ve been working with my daughter on navigating challenging relationships with other girls at school. And I’ve been working through a difficult relationship with another local family.

Through all the upset and hurt feelings, I keep coming back to the basics: kindness. Kindness to ourselves, to others, and to everyone around us.
Our yoga teacher even asked us to think kind thoughts for everyone in our yoga class as we lie in a twisting pose at the end of the class. She suggested that we spend time sending positive thoughts to strangers as we go through our day. Just imagine.

For today’s yoga tip, let’s once again remind ourselves and our children that kindness wins, every time. Please be gentle with yourself, especially during this “love” month. You deserve it. Wishing you the very best.

SUPERHERO YOGA

Last year, we posted a Superhero Yoga for Kids lesson plan by Lani of Full of Joy Yoga, and Anastasia commented at the bottom of the article that she had a superhero kids yoga lesson plan using a book titled Eliot Jones Midnight Superhero. We received so many emails asking for her plan that she has generously offered to share it below. Anastasia is a kids yoga teacher and owner of Sunshine Kids Yoga.
