Leaders' Summit 2013 in Prescott, AZ

The primary goal of the League's annual Leaders' Summit is to license parents and adults as new coaches in the Arizona League. The summit promotes a holistic approach to coaching that creates an environment in which young people can grow and thrive. The conference also provides the opportunity for participants to learn all about the league structure and processes, how to start a mountain bike team, how to work with their schools, issues related to liability, and the unique intricacies of working with high school cyclists. An ideal opportunity for new and seasoned coaches to share thoughts and opinions, and get charged up for the coming season.

The camp will have a progressive structure in difficulty and offer each student-athlete the opportunity strengthen their basic skills while providing a safe environment to achieve advanced skills as a mountain biker and person. Participants will stay in the dormitories at Ft. Lewis College, with adult coach supervision, and meals will be provided during the camp.

Attendees will also have the chance to meet some of the top cycling and mountain bike professionals in the world. Last year's notable guests included Todd Wells, Ian Burnett, Eszter Horanyi and Lauren Catlin. To reserve a spot, please send in your deposit by Mar. 1.

Adams State University Campus Tour and MTB Training in Alamosa, CO

Participants will tour the university's campus and have the opportunity to talk directly with any academic department they may be interested in, and two full days of quality, high altitude mountain biking.

Located in Alamosa, CO and surrounded by the beautiful Sangre de Cristo and San Juan mountain ranges, Adams State offers 16 majors, nearly 30 minors and emphasis areas, and a variety of pre-professional programs. Its collegiate cycling team is one of the best opportunities in the nation for collegiate cyclists, offering cycling scholarships, a full-time coaching staff with professional racing and coaching experience and team-paid expenses for all collegiate racing.
