Youth Group

Last Sunday we talked about sacrifice and read the story of the widow's offering. After our discussion, the kids had a Bible verse challenge that required them to "illustrate" a Bible verse by drawing or using any materials they could think of to build a representation of their verse. It was a tricky task but our youth more than met the challenge!
We will not meet this Sunday and we hope everyone has a good time celebrating Moms! Our final school year meeting will be on May 19th at 6pm. Hope to see all the youth ~ grades 5-12 ~ there!!

May Happenings

We started off the week weeding at Whispering Pines, and it was a gorgeous day to be outside! On Tuesday, Sue Weaver and half of our crew made some out of this world chicken teriyaki. Tuesdays just might be our favorite day! The rest of the week found us involved in raking...lots and lots of raking...as well as cleaning, weeding, weed whacking, planting, and enjoying being outside. Rex Long also came out this week to get our fields plowed and ready for planting out back. Thanks Rex! Now we are looking forward to tomorrow and our visit to Camp Frederick.

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
