O ALMIGHTY God, who in your wrath sent a plague upon your own people in the wilderness, for their obstinate rebellion against Moses and Aaron; and in the time of king David, sent a plague of pestilence that killed seventy thousand, but remembering your mercy spared the rest: Have pity upon us miserable sinners who now are visited with great sickness and mortality; and in the same way that you then accepted an atonement and commanded the destroying Angel to cease from punishing, so may it now please you to withdraw from us this plague and grievous sickness; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAY for all health workers and first responders who minister to the sick with COVID-19:

ALMIGHTY God, whose blessed Son Jesus Christ went about doing good, and healing all manner of sickness and disease among the people: Continue in our hospitals his gracious work among us especially in this time of plague and pandemic; console and heal the sick; grant to the physicians, nurses, and assisting staff wisdom and skill, diligence and patience; prosper their work, O Lord, and send down your blessing upon all who serve the suffering; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Sermon 2

   •    Give THANKS for the 1:00PM Thanksgiving Eve worship at Allegria at the Fountains in Atco and for the comments made concerning the gospel sermon after worship. PRAY that many of the residents and staff will come to Christ.

   •    PRAY for the Messiah Anglican Church, Germantown as they prayerfully consider their future. I am part of a team that is providing supply until April 2022.

   •    PRAY for our Christmastide worship: Joint Carol Service on Christmas Eve with our hosts at Covenant Presbyterian at 6:00 PM, Holy Communion with a homily and Carols on Saturday, Christmas Day morning at 11:oo AM followed by Holy Communion with Sermon on Sunday, St. Stephen’s Day at 4:00 PM. I will be encouraging our members to think about people they could invite to these services. Give THANKS for the opportunity provided by Christmas to preach the gospel. ASK God to bring non-Christian guests to All Soul’s worship, and pray for eyes to be opened to Christ’s glory.

   •    In December I’ll be preparing our 2021 State of the Parish report for our annual parish meeting in January. Give THANKS that our internal giving has held up this year despite the departure of a church family. Please PRAY for God to help us draft an honest and informative report of the parish, and that he would move people to continue supporting us generously in our giving.
