Pentecost

Join us for Worship Sunday, May 23

9:00 am - Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary
11:00 am - Blended Worship in the Parking Lot

Our weekly live-stream will occur during the 9:00 am Sanctuary service, which is a half-hour earlier than in the past. If you want to worship inside, you will need to register. Register here or call the office. Please enter through the west doors (Sanctuary doors) for this service.

Follow this link for the live-stream service Sunday.

While the 9:00 am service will be fully traditional, our 11:00 am service outside will have the same musical feel as all our worship this past year, with a blend of traditional and contemporary music. As always, weather-related changes to our outdoor worship will be announced the evening before.

Welcome back to VBS!
Join us July 26-30 from 9:00 am to noon for Discovery on Adventure Island, as we discover how God’s light shines on us and how we can reflect that light as we live each day!

Registration is now open for students who have completed K-5th grade, as well as a limited number of preschoolers. Adults and youth 6th grade and up are needed as volunteers. Visit myvbs.org/stmarklc to sign up now!

Note: All students and volunteers will wear face masks, and we will be primarily outdoors. Covid-19 mitigations in Winnebago County are changing rapidly, and St. Mark staff and volunteers will adjust as circumstances dictate, always keeping the health and safety of the children as our top priority. We will keep families up-to-date on our safety measures as VBS week approaches. Contact julie@stmarklc.com with any questions or concerns.

Our Worship Continues to Grow!
Pastor Chad McKenna

Today, I am excited to tell you about how we are expanding that Sunday morning plan in order to allow more worshippers and more opportunity to spend time together. Read more.

Anxious People book

First Tuesday Book Club
We’re delighted to resume our normal meeting schedule once again and be able to meet in person with shared discussion of a book, its themes, insight into the characters, and customs of different lands. In June, we’ll return to America as the setting for Anxious People. Each month’s selections provide questions, thoughts and promote discussion, but over the last year, just gathering together has been uplifting.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, June 1, at 1:00 p.m. in the home of Betty Sparks. PLEASE be sure to let her know if you’re attending the meeting by emailing her at kbsp4968@msn.com or leaving a message at 815-636-1122.
