HAPPY CANADA DAY, MY CANADA!
Today marks the 149th birthday of our great nation. On July 1st, 1867 we officially became known as the Dominion of Canada under our first Prime Minister, John A. Macdonald.
We are blessed to live in Canada for so many reasons, it is difficult to name them all. We at MY Canada have narrowed down the top ten things we are thanking God for in Canada right now:
1. CANADA’S NATURAL BEAUTY
With a size of 9.98 million square kilometres, Canada is the second largest country in the world. From the prairies, to the Great Lakes, the Rocky Mountains and rich forests, Canada is filled with God’s beautiful handiwork. Canada is blessed!
2. RIGHTEOUS MPS & SENATORS:
One thing we have been reminded of and encouraged in throughout the past months is that there are a number of MPs and Senators serving our nation from a Godly perspective in Parliament. We have witnessed them repeatedly take a stand for life and righteousness and are so grateful that God has strategically placed them for such a time as this!
3. A RICH CHRISTIAN HERITAGE
Canada was founded on strong Christian principles and has a heritage rich in God's blessing. In fact, our name "The Dominion of Canada" comes from Psalm 72:8, "He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth." We are also thanking God for the many prophetic words that have been given over this nation and are looking forward with faith to see these promises fulfilled.
4. INTERNATIONAL REPUTATION
Canada has a very good reputation worldwide. Among other areas, we have become known as a true friend to Israel. We pray that Canada will continue to stand for Israel, for religious freedom and human rights around the world.
5. MOTION 225
We are thanking God for MP Cathay Wagantall and her private member's bill C-225 which would rightfully recognize pre-born victims in crimes committed against their mothers. We are also grateful for the support this bill has already garnered and are praying that we see it easily passed in the House of Commons.

6. MOTION 47
MP Arnold Viersen has put forth motion 47, which calls on Standing Committee on Health to study the harmful effects of violent sexual content, particularly on Canadian youth. We are thanking God for this motion and believe that it will lead to breakthrough, healing and freedom.

7. REVIVAL
We continue to receive many wonderful reports of revival breaking out in various spots around Canada. This is a fulfilment of the numerous prophetic words that Canada will see a revival that grows and continues until Christ's return. We are thanking God for what He is doing!
8. PRAYER MOVEMENT IN CANADA
A powerful prayer movement continues to grow across the country as the Church commits more and more to a life of prayer. What a powerful tool we've been given to partner with the Lord in combatting injustices and keeping Canada glorious and free.

A PRAYER FOR CANADA
Thank you, God, for the nation of Canada and for your hand of blessing, prosperity and peace upon it throughout the years. We thank you, Jesus, that you are still on the throne of this kingdom; We declare that you shall have dominion from sea to sea. We ask that you would keep our land glorious and free and that you would give our leaders wisdom, Godly counsellors, and a fear of the Lord. May you be glorified in and through this land. Amen.
