You won't Wynne our vote supporting Israel's crimes
Wynne's 2013 Liberal Convention acceptance speech spoke of a "fair and inclusive society." Why is she accepting an "honour" from the Israel lobby, then?

Have you heard the news? Ontario's Premier Kathleen Wynne is being presented with a leadership award by the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), the Israel lobby group. While Israel deepens its nearly 50-year military occupation over Palestinians, Wynne--rather than condemning this illicit behaviour--joins Stephen Harper in rewarding Israel for its ongoing colonization of Palestinian lands.
Please join me in calling on Wynne to refuse this so-called "honour" from CIJA by signing our petition.
CIJA's CEO Shimon Fogel said: "The root cause [of conflict] is not Israel's presence but the rejection of Israel's presence in the territories." Unlike CIJA, Canada sees Israel's attempt to establish a permanent presence in the territories as illegal.
CIJA is an uncritical supporter of both the current Israeli and Canadian governments, enabling Netanyahu's racist policies, and championing Harper's police state through its active promotion of Bill C-51. Also, CIJA claims to represent Canada's diverse Jewish communities, when in fact, it represents only the interests of the Israeli government and Canada's conservative elites.
Ontarians do not support the repression of Palestinians. So why would our Premier?
On May 4, several organizations sent Wynne a letter requesting a meeting, but we still haven't heard back from her. You can read a version of this letter here.
