Annual YG Service Project

Souper Bowl of Caring

Thanks to YOU, we raised $82 for the 3C's food pantry. Each $1.00 can provide 6 meals to hungry seniors, children, and families, which means we donated 492 meals to folks facing food insecurity. Our soup pots are overflowing! Thank you for your donations to help folks in our community!

Ladies' Valentine Tea

Saturday from 1-3pm
Ladies of all ages are invited to join us for this annual event. Bring your favorite teatime treat to share and plan to enjoy a relaxing afternoon of hot tea, good conversation, and delicious food! We are looking forward to enjoying this annual event with you once again.

Our teacups are ready for Saturday!

Special Worship Service & Potluck Luncheon This Sunday

We hope to see you here for our special service and potluck luncheon this week! Pastor Mike Hileman will preach, his praise team will provide the music, and congregation members from Connecting Life Church will be worshiping with us. This service will combine elements of Worship from both churches. Then we will gather for fellowship and food to enjoy a potluck meal together. We hope everyone can attend this special combined day of Worship
and community!

Note about Offering: We will take Offering for Common Ground like normal during service. Connecting Life Church will have their giving box available as well.

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another
with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God
with gratitude in your hearts. ~ Colossians 3:16

Wednesday night practice with the Praise & Worship team!

NEWS & EVENTS

This week has been all about moving, carrying, and rearranging as we helped prep for Common Ground's Ladies Tea and Sunday's special service and luncheon. Our folks certainly built up their arm muscles with all the moving of tables and chairs! We also took some time out on Monday to visit the Agronomy Center and Millstone as we get ready for the planting season. Then we headed to Austintown to WalMart to do our monthly grocery shop and to stop at Highway Tabernacle, where most of our crew will be on Friday evening for the Tim Tebow Night to Shine Dance. With this week's weather we were even able to get outside and into the woods, which everyone enjoyed.

Tuesday's cooking project with Sue was a big one. We enjoyed a baked potato bar that included freshly cooked bacon and broccoli, barbecue chicken, and baked beans. It was a delicious day!

Planting Supplies

Do you need any planting supplies? As we work on cleaning and sorting throughout the property, we have found some seed starting containers we do not need. If you are interested, talk to Rachel to find out what we have available.

OUTREACH and MISSION OPPORTUNITIES

Ongoing Outreach/Mission Opportunity

Coat & Clothing & More Drive
Keep saving all your clothing and outerwear items for our fall giveaway. Tell your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers that we will accept donations all year! Clothes for all ages and sizes needed, along with coats, bags, purses, shoes, housewares, books, toys...whatever you think might help someone in need. Bags and boxes for people to carry their "new" items home with them are also needed! Drop items off in the collection barrel or take them up to the Green Room.

We have had two people stop in this week regarding our Giveaway (one who donated and one who wanted a flyer to help collect donations because she has been helped by our event in the past) as well as a phone call asking about it...and it is only February! There is certainly a need to be met through this ministry. How can you help?

~~~~~~~
For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.
.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
What can YOU do?
