Thank you for your love and concern for the nation of Canada. Here are a few significant national updates for you.

MAiD EXPANSION TO BE DELAYED:

The Federal Government was set to expand Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) to the mentally ill on March 17th. It now appears as though the Liberal Government will be taking actions to delay this expansion.

This is wonderful news, and they need to be encouraged to follow through.

Please take a moment to email the Liberal MPs and ask them to protect those with mental illness, and ensure that MAiD does not expand to include them.

ALBERTA BANS GENDER SURGERY FOR MINORS:

In a video posted on Twitter yesterday, Premier Danielle Smith (Alberta) announced her government will ban gender surgery and puberty blockers for minors.

This will make Alberta the first province to do so, though many other jurisdictions worldwide have already passed this kind of legislation.

Alberta will also be following suit with other provinces to require parental consent if a child wants to change their name, or gender, at school.

EMERGENCY ACT INVOCATION RULED OFF-SIDE BY FEDERAL COURT:

A federal court judge has ruled that the Liberal Government's use of the Emergencies Act was unreasonable and breached two portions of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
